The Commercial Trade Sales division features sales of sundries, spray equipment and supplies, including parts and repair service on all major brands of industrial finishing equipment.Rudd Company, Inc. occupies a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility, located on a five acre site in Seattle. Newly equipped with state of the art aerosol packaging lines, Rudd Company, Inc. has the only full service aerosol manufacturing facility in the Northwest, with capacities in excess of 25 million units per year. Based upon current product mix, bulk coatings capacity exceeds 7.5 million gallons. All material storage and processing areas are designed, and fully equipped, to comply with local, state and federal environmental and safety regulations. Quality Control and AssuranceRudd Company's Product Quality Department has protocols and procedures in place to ensure product consistency from batch to batch. Quality control standards are assigned to each product, and testing is performed during both the manufacturing and packaging processes. All products receive a unique computer generated batch code to aid tracking and record keeping. Incoming raw materials, packaging components, and brand owner supplied materials undergo strict quality assurance testing prior to approval for manufacturing or aerosol packaging. Specialized computers hold permanent color standards and are used by production personnel during the manufacturing process. Rudd Company's stain matching and color quality controls are unrivaled in the industry. Research and DevelopmentRudd Company's Research and Development Center occupies a modern, multi-faceted, paint and coatings laboratory adjacent to the manufacturing facility. The technical staff is highly trained in the formulation of wood coatings, as well as aerosol paints and specialty products. Research and development activities are focused on using existing technologies, as well as experimenting with new and emerging technologies, to meet the ever changing demands of the marketplace. As a full service lab, Rudd Company offers our customers assistance in product development from conception to successful full scale production.
